HAPPY 86TH BIRTHDAY MOM!

SEWING CLASSES

Three days of sewing and three projects so far. First day a Hawaiian pillow case,second a cup cake bag, and third day poka dotted shorts. Not bad for a beginner.

SEWING

Enrolled Kau`i in a beginning sewing class that will go on for two weeks. Kau`i didn't like the first hour because everyone was talking very fast and she couldn't understand. Second hour she loved it. Teacher said Kau`i is very good with a sewing needle. I knew that :-)

COURTHOUSE

With the help of our lawyer, pediatrician and dentist, Kau`i is now officially 10 years old, date of birth October 16, 1999. We went to the courthouse today, hearing was set for 8:30 a.m. Kau`i was scared when she entered the courtroom. She asked why "so many televisions and dvds!" Dale and I answered questions regarding Kau`i's adoption and later the Judge talked to Kau`i and said "Do you know why you are here." She said "yes" and that she was "happy." Judge also laughed and told Kau`i she probably does not appreciate being two years younger right now, but will later!

DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENT

Yesterday, Kaui received a clean bill of health from her cardiologist. No more checkups for six months. We also took girls for their six month cleaning at the dentist. Yeah! no cavities but Kau`i needs braces. BTW, check out the flip flops Kau`i made. I really think she is going to end up being a designer. Although she said she "wants to be a teacher and teach children about God."

Kaui's procedure is tomorrow at LA Childrens Hospital. Had fun doing the Walk of Stars!

We are on day 3 of a 5-day pass to Disneyland. What a blast!!!!!!!! Kids talking about coming back NEXT YEAR. Do they think money grows on our mango tree???? Anyway King Dale while vacationing in Disneyland still had some last minute work before the big day.
