TIME FOR TENNIS

Kau`i has determination and will do what she sets her mind to do. She loves tennis and one day will be very good at this sport.

If you haven't noticed by now, Maile loves to dress up. So it took a little time to get her going with the "right outfit." After that we could not keep Maile off of the tennis court. She has a great right and left two handed swing just like her big sister Desiree.

WORK DAY

Dad mentioned working in the yard last night. Kau`i immediately said "I want to help, please." This morning she came out of her room dressed for work. She looked good except she had pink boots on because she didn't want to get her feet dirty. Now that's a laugh.

ADMISSION DAY

Today is a holiday in Hawaii. Admissions Day is when Hawaii became the 50th State. To me this was a day of shopping with my girls. Highlight of our day was spending time in the women's department at Macys looking at under garments. You could hear and see the girls giggling as they approached me and say mommy, mommy "please get this one!" It was fun to see Kau`i, who was once bashful about this subject, open up about pretty things.

KAUI TALKING TO NUI NUI

Pictured here on Gotcha Day is Kau`i and her very good friend NuiNui. This evening, Kau`i called her on the phone. They had a long conversation with a lot of giggles. Kau`i enjoyed talking to NuiNui because she spoke in her native language. Several times Kau`i laughed because half her sentences were broken up in English. She misses NuiNui and look forward to seeing her in America soon. A beautiful family is adopting NuiNui and is looking forward to bring her home before too long.

FIRST DAY SCHOOL

Couldn't believe when I looked at the clock last night. It was 8:10 p.m.! Girls were excited about school and ready to go to bed. Makena, our youngest, started kindergarten today. She beamed from ear to ear as she put on her uniform and sparkly black shoes. "Mom just drop my off like you do with Maile and Kau`i okay! Posing in one of the pictures is Makena's teacher Mrs. Snieder.

OUR FOUR DAUGHTERS

All have different personalities that blend into each other beautifully. Today's comment from our youngest Makena. "Mom we need another sister from China." I said "Why?" She said "Because we need a fourth to play a musketeer like in the movie Barbie and the Three Musketeers." Of course I said dad and I were too tired!
