PUEO OF THE MONTH

In China, Kau`i didn't have much of an education because of heart issues. A little over a year ago, Kau`i was immersed into the public school system not knowing a word of English. Along with the American culture shock, she went forward. Today we consider our girl a leader who is determined and not afraid to try. She loves life and loves God.

GREAT DAY!!

Kau`i was baptized today. She answered the four important questions: "Am I ready to be baptized?"

1) Yes, I believe in Jesus Christ, that He died on the cross to pay for my sins. I have asked Him to forgive me and invited Him to be my Savior. 2) Yes, I have repented of (turned away from) my sins (wrong things I have done). 3) Yes, I want to follow Jesus and to Him as my first priority in every area of my life; and 4) Yes, I know that water baptism is a symbol of a decision that has already taken place in my heart to receive Christ as my Savior.

Kau`i was asked when did she start being a believer and having faith in God? and she responded "I couldn't even speak English yet! I see my family praying and reading about God and I see good things. So I asked questions. Now I am happy and love God and my family."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DALE

The greatest guy God blessed me with is my husband and father of our five children. Kau`i made this birthday card for him to express her love. Isn't it beautiful!

FINGERPRINTING

On our way back to Maui from LA on February 14, we made a stop over on Oahu to get our fingerprints taken. I called USCIS today and was told Dale is cleared, however, I have to retake it again. Nothing new! For our last three adoptions I had to fly to Honolulu twice. That's standard procedure on their part. In the meantime, I mailed my local police clearance report to USCIS for backup!

Dale and I had a wonderful time in LA. We came home to three girls who missed us sooooo much and, until today, just loves us to death! According to our daughter Desiree, she said "While you were gone Kau`i made things easy for me. She was very helpful." Personally I kid Kau`i and say to her often "You are my little Angie!" She loves when I say that.

DISNEYLAND

Dale is a thrill seeker. Typical man!whereas I'm not. But you know I must be relaxed without the kiddos because I went on Grizzly Rapids (Dale got soaked), Big Thunder (my favorite) and the Matterhorn.

PACKED AND READY

Kau`i's 5th grade class is going to have an overnighter at school to check out the stars. Last check 40 students attending with 30 camping and fifteen adult supervising with nine staying overnight.

We teased Kau`i and said "I wonder where our family is going out for dinner since Kau`i is going to be with her class for an overnighter?" She just smiled! Kau`i said "Mom Dad! Do not touch the dinner dishes. I will clean it ALL tonight since I will not be here tomorrow." Now that's our girl!

By the way, today is Chinese New Year and Kau`i sang three Chinese songs for her class. After school, Kau`i said "Mom, my teacher took a video of me singing." We are very proud of her.
