FIRST DAY SCHOOL

Makena and her teacher.
We left our home at 7 a.m. and made it to school in 35 minutes. Doris Todd Christian School starts at 7:45 a.m. At the girls' old school, we made it in 5 minutes and classes began at 8:30 a.m. Big difference. Half way in our car, Makena said "And we have to do this every day!"

The girls were happy at first. When we got to school Maile was scared and shedded tears. She's the only new student in her class of 17. Makena and Kau`i were no problem. Makena's class has four girls and six boys, Maile's has 12 girls and five boys, and Kaui's four girls and eight boys.

Can't wait to pick girls up after school to see their faces.

Oh I feel your pain! Not looking forward to those early mornings. Love seeing pictures of your growing girls! They are beautiful! We think of you often!
love you all, Stephanie

We did a 32 mile drive for private school when Kristen and Jake were in K, 1 and 2. I had a carpool buddy the 1st year. Get you some sermons on tape, or books on tape for the drive back home alone=).
