We got up early to do more paperwork. By China's law, Kailani is officially our daughter and Maile, Makena and Kaui's sister. Guiyang has grown since we were here almost two years ago. Our guide Michael said "the population is 3 million. China's economic is good! Roads are smoother and construction more abundant." This afternoon, we went to Walmart to buy Kailani comfort food (pictured eating noodles). Kau`i weighed Kailani earlier, ran into our room with big eyes and said "Mom! Dad! Kailani only weighs 29 pounds!!!" Actually the scale was in kg. We assured Kau`i that Kailani is just a little on the thin side weighing only 63 pounds and rest assure she will put weight on in no time. :) P.S. Notice the the chicken feet for sale in the picture with Kai! Kau`i loved eating it before, but wouldn't touch it now.

Finally!!!
After over a year of waiting, we finally met our sweet daughter Kailani. Esther, the assistant director of the SWI, said Kailani was so excited and thought this day would never come. Well ditto to that! It was also special because we met Esther again. We feel close to her and consider Esther a special friend and someone who cares about the welfare of the children.
Esther invited our family to the SWI on Thursday. She said they are going to have a BIG special party for Kau`i and Kailani. We cannot wait!

COUNT DOWN BEGINS
This picture of Kau`i (left) and Kailani was taken December 23, 2009. The day we visited the orphanage we found out Kailani took over Kau`i's bed. God was the only one who knew Kailani would be our forever daughter on November 27, 2011. Amazing!Thursday, November 10, 2011
8-YEAR-OLD MAILE

Can't believe how fast Maile has grown since we held her in our arms when she was 15 months old. We are blessed with her beauty inside and out.
