Words cannot even express the gratitude our family experienced at the orphanage today. We were touched by the special party for our family by the director, assistant director, Guiyang's China Adoption Affairs (GCAA) director, the children Kaui and Kailani grew up with and more. There were speeches honoring Kau`i about how they remembered her being a very sick girl to a beautiful healthy girl, and the first girl who ever came back to the orphanage to pick up her sister! Gifts were given along with a CD of Kailani's Gotcha Day! The orphanage was beautiful. The children's rooms were freshly painted, curtains were hung, beddings and furniture new.
After the party, we drove to Kailani and Kau`i old school and visited Kailani's classroom. It was a riot with 41 students from her class!
I can go on and on about this very special day. The few pictures you see will show just a little of the excitement we enjoyed as a family.
